The Bangladesh Bank has increased the daily and monthly transaction limits for cash-in and cash-out services via Mobile Financial Services (MFS), according to a circular issued on Thursday.
Under the revised limits, individuals can now deposit up to Tk 50,000 per day, a 66% increase from the previous cap. The monthly cash-in limit has also been raised by 50% to Tk 300,000.
For cash withdrawals, the daily limit has been increased by 20% to Tk 30,000, while the monthly limit has been raised by 33% to Tk 200,000.
The highest adjustment has been made to person-to-person (P2P) transfers, with the daily cap doubling to Tk 50,000 and the monthly limit increasing by 50% to Tk 300,000.
However, transaction limits for bank transfers—whether through bank accounts or cards—remain unchanged at Tk 50,000 per day and Tk 300,000 per month.
The new limits, signed by Bangladesh Bank’s Payment System Department Director Rafeza Akter Kanta, aim to enhance digital financial transactions and improve user accessibility.
