Exports surge despite slight dip in February targets

Bangladesh’s exports soared by 12% to $5.18 billion in February, reflecting the global economic recovery from high inflation.
Despite this growth, the figure fell short of the month’s target by 0.98%, standing at $5.24 billion, as reported by Senior Commerce Tapan Kanti Ghosh.
During the July-February period, exports reached $38.45 billion, marking a 3.71% increase compared to the previous year. However, this figure was 6.48% lower than the targeted $41.12 billion.
Bangladesh achieved over $5 billion in exports for three consecutive months, a historic milestone for the nation’s economy.
