AI-powered marketing automation platform Markopolo.ai has raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by Saudi-based venture capital firm Joa Capital, the company announced.
Founded in 2022, the startup is developing modular AI agents designed to automate repetitive marketing and sales tasks for consumer brands. The funding round also included Team Ignite Partners and strategic angel investors.
Markopolo.ai’s flagship AI agents include Mark, which autonomously runs advertising campaigns across platforms like Meta, Google, and TikTok; Nabiq, a scalable AI sales agent for personalised outreach; and DeepDive, a real-time social listening tool.
The startup is relocating its headquarters to Saudi Arabia under the Kingdom’s National Technology Development Program. It has also secured a $140,000 grant through the KAUST Taqadam accelerator and won the AI Oasis Hackathon at LEAP 2024 in Riyadh.
“This seed round is more than capital—it’s a battle cry,” said CEO and co-founder Tasfia Tasbin. “We’re going full throttle across the MENA region to put company growth on autopilot.”
Joa Capital CEO Yousef Alyousefi called Markopolo.ai “globally scalable and deeply technical,” adding that the platform aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 focus on AI and digital transformation.
Markopolo.ai previously secured backing from Accelerating Asia, Startup Bangladesh and DIVC.
