Microsoft Teams is introducing a real-time AI-powered language interpreter, enabling participants to speak and listen in their preferred languages during meetings.

The tool, which uses speech-to-speech translation to replicate users’ voices in different languages, will enter preview in early 2025 and initially support nine languages.

This update is part of a broader AI integration into Teams, including multilingual transcription capabilities for meeting dialogues, which will support up to 31 translation languages.
