M Maksud, managing director of Corona International, has been elected as the new president of the Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) for his 2023-25 tenure.

Md Kamruzzaman, managing director of Hohenstein Laboratories Bangladesh Ltd, and Mohammad Ershad Hussain, chairman, and CEO of Dawn Trading International, were elected as the senior vice presidents.

At the same time, Navaneetha Krishnan, managing director of Robert Bosch (Bangladesh) Ltd, and Md Farooque Khan, managing director of Weber Power Solutions Ltd, were elected as vice presidents while Adnan Md Iqbal, director of Globe Forwarding & Freight Ltd, was elected as the treasurer, the BGCCI said in a statement.
