Olympic Industries to invest Tk 131.9 million in new cookie production line

Olympic Industries Ltd is set to enhance its production capacity with the import of a new multi-colour cookie production line, valued at approximately Tk 131.9 million.
The company’s board approved the investment at a meeting held on May 21, according to a disclosure published on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website on Thursday.
The production line, with an annual capacity of 9,048 tonnes, will be sourced from Zhongshan Dingson Food Machinery of Guangdong Province, China, for $1,081,500.
Olympic said the new line will be installed and commissioned at its Madanpur factory in Narayanganj.
The move is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand and modernise its manufacturing operations in response to growing market demand.
According to DSE data, as of April 30, 2025, Olympic Industries’ shareholding structure comprised 32.38% held by sponsors and directors, 20.65% by institutional investors, 34.21% by foreign investors, and 12.76% by the general public.
