Pathao has launched Pathao Pay, a digital wallet designed to streamline transactions, send money, and manage finances, according to a press release.

The service went live on Tuesday under the new tagline “Your YOUniverse, Your Way.”

Pathao Pay introduces a suite of user-focused features, including Pay Tag for collecting payments and crowdfunding, Split Pay for dividing bills, Group Send Money for bulk transfers, and Auto-Pay for seamless payments with trusted merchants.

Users can also recharge mobile phones instantly and top up their balance using Visa, Mastercard, AMEX cards, or Nagad.

To enhance the experience, Pathao unveiled the Pathao Pay Card—a Mastercard-powered, multi-currency card issued in partnership with Mutual Trust Bank PLC.

Offered in three designs—Starlit Horizon, Purple Haze, and Sunshine Beach—the card syncs in real-time with users’ wallet balances, supports dual currencies, and allows tap-and-pay up to BDT 5,000 without a PIN.

The card also enables global transactions, including shopping, subscriptions, and travel, with free ATM withdrawals at all MTB locations.

To celebrate the launch, Pathao is offering up to BDT 3,000 in cashback across its services: BDT 1,000 each on food and car rides, and BDT 500 each on bike rides and parcel deliveries.
