According to sources from the Bangladesh Bank, expatriate Bangladeshis sent a substantial $810 million in remittances back home during the first ten days of May. 

A local television channel citing central bank sources reported that $93.95 million of this total was channeled through state-owned banks, $1.86 million through specialized banks, $715.13 million through private banks, and $2.84 million through foreign banks.

In April, migrant workers sent $731 million, followed by $679 million in March, $718 million in February, and $763 million in January. 

Over the past few months, Bangladesh has witnessed consistent inflows of remittances. 

In April alone, the country received a significant sum of $2.04 billion in remittances. This was preceded by $1.99 billion in March, $2.16 billion in February, and $2.10 billion in Januar.
