Seventeen Bangladeshi teams have won medals at the World Invention Competition and Exhibition (WICE) 2025, an international platform showcasing innovative projects from young scientists and researchers across the globe.
Among them, 14 teams secured gold medals while three earned silver, marking a strong performance for Bangladesh in this year’s competition.
The event, held from 21 to 26 September at SEGi University in Damansara, Malaysia, brought together thousands of participants from multiple countries. Organized jointly by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA) and SEGi University, WICE serves as an annual forum for students and innovators to present creative solutions to real-world challenges through science, technology, and engineering.
Participants competed across several categories, including Information Technology and Robotics, Applied Physics and Engineering, and Innovative Social Science, under three academic levels: Elementary, Secondary, and University. Each entry was assessed based on creativity, innovation, practicality, and presentation quality.
At the Elementary level, two Bangladeshi teams clinched gold medals: Hollow AI for their project in Information Technology and Robotics, and Tarar Bari, which focused on “Building humanity’s next home beyond Earth.”
Bangladeshi teams dominated the Secondary level, winning eight medals. Gold winners included Aquabot (Aqua Bot 2.0), Rescue Rover (Pothochari 1.0), RV14k (Eco Fusion), and Young Sparks of Bangladesh (Eco Pulse) — all in the Information Technology and Robotics category.
Therabot (Smart Medical Companion Robot) received gold in Applied Physics and Engineering, while Deligo (Deligo) and River Guard (River Guard) both won gold in Innovative Social Science. Fusion Force (Ember Knight) earned a silver medal in IT and Robotics.
