Events around the world: Consumer Electronics Show 2025
June 05, 2025

Consumer Electronics Show is an annual event usually organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in the United States, where the wildest and weirdest products in the consumer electronics and technology industry are presented.
It’s considered the most powerful tech event held every year in the world. It showcases the latest laptops and chips and the most ambitious and offbeat things, never failing to amaze. The show was inaugurated in 1967 in New York City as a spin-off of the Chicago Music Show, then popular program for consumer electronics.
CES 2025 was held from 7-10 January, attracting around 140,000 attendees to Las Vegas, where more than 4000 companies showcased their technologies and products.
AI dominated the show this time. Every company competed to ensure AI’s participation in every possible technology. We witnessed AI in cars and TVs, got introduced to Copilot+ PCs, smart glasses, solar-run EVs, rolling, pivoting portable entertainment sets, and even ice cream-making machines for household use.

Plantaform’s smart indoor garden, AI laundry robots, AI-powered smart planters, spill-detecting vacuum cleaners, Panasonic’s 4-in-1 multi oven, which can be operated using a phone, Switchbot’s video doorbell, etc., are some of the notable home appliances that stole the show.
LG and Samsung claimed that adding the chatbot to their TVs would allow users to efficiently find and organize complex information using contextual cues. Samsung showed off VisionAI usage to connect the AI features of Galaxy smartphones to TVs and pointed towards similar usage in high-end smart fridges.
Another AI-powered tool is the Humetrix AI app, which provides medical aid with its database of 4 million medications and information on 67000 medical conditions in any language, breaking language barriers. Other innovations included lithium-free paper-thin cellulose batteries, a 6*6 carrier van for office or studio use, and a land aircraft carrier.
Honda 0 series EVs resembling closer to our imaginations of future cars start production by next year. A closer-to-final version of the sleek line has been shared at this year’s CES.
The EVs will include heavy-duty processing powers for AI and level 3 self-driving. Aptera Solar EV is a futuristic-looking EV that can recharge itself while driving, so it doesn’t need to plug in, as it is wrapped in solar panels. BMU’s Panoramic Drive UI includes three separate displays: a main display, a windshield-spanning info screen, and a heads-up display with a customization option by an intelligent personal assistant.

Samsung’s Micro LED Smartwatch, a debut concept at CES 2025, is a promising future device. FlipGO Horizon introduced multiple portable screen-carrying laptops, which many of us have dreamed of and felt the urge to use while multitasking.
Smartglasses were one of the show’s main attractions, with Captify, Xreal One Pro smart glasses, Halliday’s AI-powered glasses, Rokid, and those companies flexing lavish gadgets paving the way for a smooth tech-dependent future.
Withings displayed a prototype AI-powered smart mirror called Omnia. It includes sensors that gather data about people’s metabolism and weight and work with companion smart devices to provide an overall idea about one’s well-being. The mirror can share these with healthcare providers and make fitness recommendations accordingly. Although only the mirror concept was presented at CES 2025, Withings is teasing the launch of the AI assistant later this year.

Another revolutionary healthcare assistant mirror launched this year is the FaceHeart Cardio Mirror. This 45-second selfie provides vital readings like blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation, and detects atrial fibrillation and heart failure.
Other interesting techs unveiled included a needle-free injection gadget, a ‘clinic-in-a-box’ for remote healthcare, a spoon-delivering current that tricks the tongue with the taste of salt without the actual presence of salt, and omnidirectional exoskeletons.
For new parents, Elvie Rise is a splendid and more assured way of putting the newborn to sleep. It’s a smart bassinet and bouncer that an app can adjust and control. Roborock vacuum can pick up and deliver things tossed on the floor while cleaning and mopping.

The latest innovations from PC makers like Acer, Alienware, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, Razer, and others showed off a wide variety of the latest CPUs and GPUs, cherishing the full arrival of the AI PC.
At least half of the devices announced at this year’s CES support Copilot and are even preparing to paddle along with the future. On the contrary, this century’s revolution—smartphones—was largely absent from this year’s CES, aside from several minor announcements.
CES 2025 introduced us to various robots, powerful laptops with fancy displays and splendid AI power, over-the-top and extravagant home gadgets and TVs, and trailblazing EVs.
