Fu-Wang Ceramic Industries Ltd, a ceramic manufacturer in Bangladesh, saw a significant drop in profit for the second quarter of the current financial year.

During October-December of 2023-24, their profit fell by 28%, reaching Tk 6.81 million, compared to Tk 9.53 million in the same period last year.

According to a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the company reported an earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 0.05, down from Tk 0.07 last year.

Despite this decline, the ceramic maker had a stronger performance in the first half of FY24, with an EPS of Tk 0.14, marking a 16% increase from Tk 0.12 in the same period of 2022-23.
