Md. Mushfiqur Rahman appointed chairperson of SME Foundation

Md. Mushfiqur Rahman has assumed office as the eighth Chairperson of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Foundation for a two-year term, effective January 19.
The Ministry of Industries announced his appointment in a December 22 notification stipulating that he must relinquish any other professional or business affiliations during his tenure.
Rahman brings nearly three decades of experience in banking, having held key roles at prominent institutions, including HSBC, Standard Chartered, Citibank, and Shahjalal Islami Bank in Bangladesh and Citizens and HSBC in the United States.
A graduate of Dhaka University (1992), Rahman also holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), earned in 1995.
