According to the data published by the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), MetLife Bangladesh settled the highest number of claims among all life insurance companies in Bangladesh in 2024.

The company settled 28.95 billion taka in claims that year. MetLife has maintained a strong claims settlement ratio of 97.79%, also one of the highest settlement ratios in the industry.

Of the total claims settled, 2.37 billion taka were claimed for health and medical expenses, 140 crore taka for death claims, and 25.18 billion taka for maturity, partial maturity, and others.

In the last 5 years (2020 – 2024), MetLife Bangladesh has settled more than 114 billion taka in insurance claims.

MetLife Bangladesh’s Chief Executive Officer, Ala Ahmad, said, “By settling the highest number of claims in 2024, we’ve shown that MetLife stands firmly behind its commitment. Every claim we pay reflects our promise to be there when our customers need us most.”
