Dhaka is set to host the “South Asia Trade Fair-2025” from September 18, bringing together businesses and entrepreneurs from across the region under the umbrella of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc).
The four-day event will take place at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), with participation from over 100 organisations representing various South Asian countries.
The fair is being jointly organized by the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI). Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin will inaugurate the event, which organisers hope will serve as a platform for regional collaboration, trade promotion, and investment opportunities.
A diverse range of products will be on display, reflecting the region’s industrial and cultural strengths. Exhibitors will showcase ready-made garments and textiles, gems and jewellery, cosmetics, leather goods, processed food, home appliances, kitchenware, and electronics.
Alongside the exhibitions, the fair will host thematic sessions, business networking forums, B2B meetings, and discussions on strategies to expand intra-regional trade.
The organisers said the fair aims to strengthen trade ties within South Asia, reduce existing gaps in market access, and highlight the growing role of private sector collaboration in driving economic growth in the region. Visitors will be able to attend the fair daily from 11 am to 10 pm until September 21.
