Workers protest unpaid wages in Gazipur garment factories

Employees from two Readymade Garment (RMG) factories in Gazipur staged protests, demanding their overdue pay on the 17th of March.
Demonstrations unfolded at Crossline Knit Fabrics in Tongi’s Vadam Nishat Nagar and at Sadat Out Wires Limited in the Gacha area.
According to Gazipur police and RMG workers, over 200 employees from Crossline Knit Fabrics Ltd protested inside the factory premises and at its main gate. They sought payment for three months’ worth of wages.
Meanwhile, workers from Sadat Out Wears Ltd opted for a daylong work abstention, demanding one month’s salary along with earned leave compensation.
