The implementation rate of Bangladesh’s Annual Development Programme (ADP) in the first four months of the current fiscal year has edged up to 8.33%, compared with 7.90% during the same period a year earlier.
Fresh data from the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) show that ministries and divisions spent Tk 198.78 billion between July and October of FY2025–26. This is lower than the Tk 219.78 billion spent in the corresponding period of FY2024–25, despite the improved percentage rate.
For the current fiscal year, the government set an ADP allocation of Tk 2,386.96 billion.
The modest rise in implementation comes as authorities push to accelerate project execution amid tighter fiscal conditions and calls for more efficient utilisation of development funds.
