Chittagong University Environment Parliament arranged a two-day debate festival for the students. On the 8th and 9th of June, the festival was held at the Faculty of Law, CU.

The festival happened to celebrate World Environment Day and create awareness regarding the need to save the environment. Dr. MD Ohidul Alam, Proctor of CU, and Ibrahim Khalil Al Hayder, Lecturer of Zoology, CU, were present at the program.

‘SDC CU Okkho’ became the Champion of the competition, and ‘DCU- A’ became 2nd Runner Up.

Arafat Islam became the debater of the tournament, whereas Redwan Islam Siam became the best debater in the final round.

Tanvir Kayes, Convener of the event, said, “We will always try to arrange such a program to create awareness among the people regarding the environment.”
