Md Anwarul Islam has been promoted to deputy managing director (DMD) of ONE Bank, effective January 1, 2025, according to a press release.

Before this role, Islam served as senior executive vice president, chief legal officer, and head of the recovery division at ONE Bank.

Islam began his banking career as a management trainee at City Bank PLC in 2002 and later served as head of court operations in its legal division.

With extensive experience in legal affairs, recovery, retail monitoring, and special asset management, Islam holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law from the University of Rajshahi.
