MetLife Bangladesh recognizes best insurance agency for 2025

MetLife Bangladesh has recently honored the country’s best insurance agency. For the year 2025, this recognition has been awarded to Sumon Agency of Noakhali District.
This is the second time Sumon Agency has received this prestigious honor. Each year, only one agency is selected for this award.
Sumon Agency earned the recognition for its outstanding contributions in raising awareness about life insurance, leveraging digital technology, delivering excellent customer service, creating employment opportunities, and achieving the highest business success among all MetLife insurance agencies across the country in 2025.
This success is the result of the combined efforts of all Unit Managers and Financial Associates of Sumon Agency under the strong and efficient leadership of Branch Manager Sofi Ullah Sumon. Sumon Agency is located on Maijdee Court Main Road, Noakhali.
Sofi Ullah Sumon joined MetLife as a Financial Associate in 2008 and was promoted to Unit Manager in 2010. In recognition of his consistent success, he was promoted to Branch Manager in 2018 and has since been leading Sumon Agency.
Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh, handed over the ‘Best Agency of 2024’ trophy to Branch Manager Sofi Ullah Sumon at a ceremony held at the agency office.
Jafar Sadeque Chowdhury, AMD & Chief Distribution Officer; Ala Uddin, DMD & Chief Financial Officer; Kamrul Anam, DMD & Chief Operations Officer; Md. Lutfor Rahman, Assistant Managing Director & Chief Agency Sales Officer; Ashraful Haque, Assistant Managing Director & Chief Distribution Development Officer; Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Assistant Managing Director & Chief Corporate Business Officer, and other officials were present on the occasion.
Commenting on this achievement, Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh, said: “Insurance is not just about financial protection; it is a catalyst for economic growth and stability. By recognizing excellence, we aim to inspire agencies across the country to innovate and expand coverage, ultimately strengthening Bangladesh’s economic foundation.”
The recognition ceremony was held to showcase the outstanding contribution of the insurance sector to the national economy.
