Google has emerged as a leader in artificial intelligence pulling ahead of OpenAI.
Alphabet executives struck a confident tone during the company’s latest earnings call. It followed the release of the Gemini 3 model.
Chief Executive Sundar Pichai said AI investments are now driving growth across the entire company. He said this performance supports plans to increase capital spending in 2026 to expand computing capacity.
Google said the Gemini app had more than 750 million monthly active users by the end of December. Engagement increased further after the launch of Gemini 3.
The AI model has been integrated into Google’s search engine and enterprise services. Google said its paid enterprise AI licenses reached 8 million.
Alphabet’s stock has gained about 36 percent since last year.
Market observers say Google’s strong balance sheet and expanding AI revenues have shifted investor sentiment.
